Wooden Ships Comments on this Steel Gaff Ketch
Conceived by the original owner with inspiration from the Danish Baltic Traders, she was professionally designed and built by the Aalbers Shipayrd, Netherlands in 1970. The first owner cruised extensively around Norway, the North Sea and northern Europe proving her to be an excellent all weather cruising vessel. The current owner bought her from Holland, carried out a refit including work to the engine, new standing and running rigging and alterations to the interior.
Her heavy displacement, easily handled rig and sheltered wheelhouse make her a very practical and safe cruising boat, especially for the northern hemisphere weather. She is an immensely capable vessel and with her recent refit she is ready for the next owner to continue with some adventurous cruises.
