Oran na Mara is a One of Design Buccanner 27. Her heavy GRP layup long keel is on the lines of a Falmouth working boat. She was built by Buccaneer Boats and Mouldings Cambourne. She is of the Sea Scamp Class. She was purchased by Nick Henshall of Newlyn who fitted her out over 5 years with wooden decks and cabin structure. She has an outboard wooden rudder and tiller. She was launched 2005. Oran na Mara sailed locally and featured in Watercraft Oct 2008 by Judy Brickhill "Gude Me" Lugger fame. She is Gaff cutter rigged, with wooden spars by Noble Masts of Bristol with s/s fittings and standing rigging. She has 296 sqft of Tan sails and her running rigging mostly new. She has heavy galvanised deck fittings, 6 bronze winches, 2 bronze foredeck cleats, 5 bronze fairleads and 4 mooring leg cleats. She also comes with a pair of legs. She is partially flush deck with low raised forward saloon cabin and low connecting doghouse, with 4 bronze port light 2 aft opening and 5 bronze mushroom cabin and deck vents. Below deck she has 2 berths with a new unused Porta-Potti. She has a galley and chart table.
12 volt batteries x 2 and solar panel.

Engine: 2005 Mercury 9.9 bigfoot longshaft o/board on tilt/slide bracket, cover and manual. Fully serviced up to Dec 2019 low engine hours.
