Owners comments
I have owned the Hanse from new, having bought it from Hanse/Inspiration Yachts in 2008.
I am now 75 and have decided to retire from regular yachting.
I have sailed for 32 years and owned 4 sailing boats. 'Salsa' has been by far the most enjoyable boat and I am sorry to have to sell her.
Most of my sailing has been single-handed. She is easy to sail solo and I have kitted her out for ease of use. I have also often sailed with a crew, and there is plenty of space and storage for 4-5 to sail her in comfort.
She has never raced. Most sailing has been on the South Coast, mainly based at Torquay. We have done a number of longer trips:
cross-channel to Channel Islands and France
Torquay Weymouth, Portland, Solent, Hamble
Torquay to Cardiff.
She has been easy to sail in all conditions, including some reasonably heavy weather. I have never felt concerned about how she will handle.
She is by far the fastest and easiest of the boats that I have owned, and also compared with other boats of a similar size on which I have sailed.
