Wooden Ships Comments on this Silvers twin screw motor yacht
Designed by John Bain and built by Silvers of Rosneath in 1936. Silvers produced a number of yachts in this size, ever popular as they offered comfortable space and a capable yacht without being too large.
Good headroom throughout, 6 berths plus 2 heads and a shower make this a very comfortable boat for longer periods aboard.
Re-engined in 2014 with 27hp diesels that have only done about 20 hours. She has shore power, a generator and inverter so well equipped for comfortable living aboard.
The deck was overlaid with insulation sheets then sheathed plywood to make her warm and free from condensation, a big benefit in our damp climate.
A nicely cared for and ready to go example for very sensible money. 2015 insurance survey available.
