Hull, decks and coachroof in white GRP with moulded non-slip finish were required. Structural internal moulding provides strength and an easy to live with finish where exposed. Extensive use of wood (Cherry finish) internally makes the saloon feel welcoming.
Stainless steel pulpit and push-pit fittings linked by twin guard wires and alloy toe-rail add to safety on deck. Sugar scoop stern with boarding ladder.
Cast iron shoal draft keel (1.45M) with counter hung rudder and wheel steering.
The boat is booked to be antifouled prior to re-launch in April
Vessel is powered by a Yanmar 3YM30 (29hp) inboard diesel engine with a 75 Litre capacity fuel tank, driving a 3 bladed fixed propeller. The engine compartment is situated below the companionway and can be accessed from the front, rear and sides allowing easy access for servicing and daily checks.
3 x 12v batteries charged from alternator or battery charger when attached to the jetty supply. Shore power connection allows use of mains appliances.
Rigging and Sails
Bermudan sloop rig with alloy, deck stepped mast with set of twin spreaders. Stainless standing rigging and Terylene running rigging. All control lines led aft into cockpit. Rigid boom vang and main sheet traveller on coach roof. Single line reefing mainsail with 2 reefing points and a Lazy Jack bag. Roller furling Genoa with UV strip.

8 berths in a 3 cabin plus saloon berth layout. To either side of the companionway steps are the entrances to the 2 aft double cabins which both have storage and access to the engine compartment. Forward of the port cabin is an L shaped galley with gas oven and 2 burner hob, stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water, cool box with cutlery insert under lid, front opening fridge with freezer compartment, generous sized worktops and a number of storage cupboards.
Opposite the galley is the heads compartment which has a sea toilet with holding tank, hand basin, mirror, storage and shower area with pressurised hot and cold water. Forward of the head is the navigation station with electrical panel, chart table and a variety of storage. CD/radio and heating controls.
Moving forward is the central dining table with 2 folding leaves and comfortable saloon settee seating which double as extra berths - the U shaped port settee converting to a double berth. Ahead again is the fore-cabin with its V berth double and storage lockers and deck hatch.
Eberspacher D4 forced air heating keeps things comfortable into the winter months.
