Boat Description

Bavaria 40 Cruiser built 2010. Probably one of the best maintained and equipped cruising yachts you will find on the market today. Volvo engine (2014) under 500hrs, heating, solar charging, holding tanks. Inmast furling main, Elvstrom sails. Accom for 6 in 3 double cabins, 2 heads. Comprehensive Raymarine Nav gear. Full safety equipment. She has been invested in and upgraded throughout this ownership. Privately owned and never chartered.

Two steering positions with a Raymarine C90W chartplotter positioned on a Scanstrut adjustable bracket
located between the two. Two Raymarine displays provide navigation and performance data as well as autopilot
controls. Engine control are adjacent to the starboard wheel.

The original engine was replaced free of charge by Volvo-Penta because of a manufacturing fault.

Power Supplies
There are mains sockets throughout the boat for use when connected to a shore supply. In addition there is an inverter
which provides 350 watts of 50Hz mains power when a shore supply is not available. The boat uses 12v DC for most
of its systems with an outlet in the cockpit which is useful for lighting when at anchor or for a searchlight. USB
sockets on the control panel are useful for charging mobile phones, computers, etc. The high intensity anchor light
fitted to the post on the stern is automatic, switching on at dusk and off at dawn.
Solar panels
High output solar panels were installed in 2015. A copy of the wiring diagram is attached. Have proved exceptionally efficient making the boat virtually shore-power independent. The solar panel controller is of the advanced Tracer MTPP type. A high-tech battery monitor (Smart gauge) was installed at the same time and this gives an accurate indication of battery charge percentage.

Fuel: 250 litres of diesel.
Water: 2 tanks, extra water tank added: forward tank 120 litres aft tank 250 litres.

Spacious saloon seats six comfortably, eight in 'cosy' mode.
Ample storage in cupboards and under seats.
Practical 'linear' galley with deep fridge, double sinks and gas cooker.
The chart table is spacious and the area houses many of the ship's instruments.
